Gus Gus (male):
“His coat is soft and shedding is minimal. He is a perfect mix of energy and calmness. He has a burst of energy with excitement and then will relax and rest most of the day. He loves to be hugged and his ears to be rubbed. He can be skittish around new people, objects, and situations. He has brought so much laughter, joy, and love to our family.”
“He loves spending time with [our other dog]. When he wants to go outside and [our other dog] doesn’t necessarily want to go, he will go nudge and encourage her to go outside with him anyway. They are always together.”
“Anytime someone is hugging, he MUST come and be a part of the hug too. He can be in another room, not even in sight of someone hugging, and he just knows!”
Mushu (male):
“His hair is straight, and he does shed….He really is just the sweetest, best boy out there - such a goofball! He’s super healthy….He is definitely high energy, but he’s very social and loves everyone and every animal. He wants to be everyone’s best friend….He’s about 60 lbs. now.”
Jasmine (female):
“She has a fun temperament, loves everyone (especially little ones), and likes to be on an adventure every moment she’s awake! [Jasmine’s] fur is more wavy than straight, she has the feather duster tail, and does shed some….We’re training her for therapy certification….She is a great traveler…super smart, and keeps us on our toes.”
“We take her about once a month to have her nails and the hair around her toes trimmed. We bathed her ourselves when she was smaller and weighed less than 40 lbs. (she’s 60 now). Her fur doesn’t grow long enough to be groomed or trimmed, but it helps to brush her every day.”
“She’s also very food-motivated and is a fast learner. We’ve trained her to sit to be petted, so sometimes she’ll sit even when she sees someone approaching!”
Elsa (female):
“We love [Elsa] so much. She is such a sweet dog. Her hair is more straight than curly….She sheds a tad, but I think the normal amount for her type of dog, not too much. She weighs 47 lbs.”
Rapunzel (female):
“She does not shed which is amazing! No unwanted dog hair on our couches or food! She has been healthy so far and loves to run with us. She loves car rides the most. She knows lots of words and tricks too. Very smart. She gets shy and nervous around new people, but warms up very quick. She has lots of energy which is great for everyone (us and her) to get exercise on walks or runs.”
“She is such a cuddle bug too. No matter where you are or what you’re sitting on, she’ll come up and jump on your lap.”
Olaf (male):
“He has straight hair and definitely sheds…but still needs to be groomed. Gets too stinky otherwise. And his fur is super long. [Olaf] is super calm and loving... Very good with the kids and wants the cats to play back with him. He loves to play fetch and chew his bones.
